Cookie policy

Cookies and storage technologies used by this website, separating the public pages from the private area.

1. In short

The public pages of this website set no cookies: no unnecessary technical cookies, no statistics, no profiling or advertising cookies, whether first- or third-party.

That is why no consent banner is shown: there are no cookies to authorise. The only information stored in your browser, and the only technical processing carried out, are described below.

2. Cookies on the public pages

While you browse the public pages the website sets no cookies of any kind and reads no cookies set by other websites.

There are no analytics, marketing, remarketing or ad-measurement cookies, and the site takes part in no profiling networks.

3. Theme preference (not a cookie)

If you choose the light or dark theme using the theme control, that preference is saved in your browser's local storage under the key “theme”. Until you use that control, nothing is stored.

It is not a cookie: it is never sent to the server with your requests, it is not a tracking identifier, it feeds no statistics or profiling and it stays on your device. You can remove it by clearing the site data in your browser settings.

4. Usage statistics without cookies

Usage statistics are collected with a first-party system, hosted on the same infrastructure as the website, with no third-party analytics platforms and no cookies.

Visit counting uses no cookies and no persistent identifier in the browser. The session is reconstructed server-side through a pseudonymous technical identifier, computed as the request is handled and regenerated every day: it does not allow the same person to be followed over time. The full IP address is not retained in the statistics database.

Processing purposes, legal bases and retention periods are set out in the Privacy policy.

5. Security log

To protect the website from automated scans, unauthorised access attempts and other abuse, technical information about security events is recorded: source IP address, user-agent, date and time, requested resource and type of event detected.

This is not statistical processing and uses no cookies: it is a technical record necessary for security, with limited retention and no commercial or profiling purpose.

6. Private area

The private /admin area is available only to authorised staff and is never reached while browsing the website normally. The cookies described here are never set on the public pages.

After signing in, a technical session cookie (nexus_admin_session) is set, with the HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite=Strict attributes and a maximum lifetime of 8 hours. It only keeps the session authenticated: it contains no personal data in clear text and is never used for statistics or profiling.

A second technical cookie (nexus_analytics_exclude) is set only if an administrator turns on the option that excludes their own browser from the website statistics. It is not present by default.

Two-step verification of the private area introduces no additional cookies: the temporary code is generated by an authenticator app on the administrator's own device.

7. Third-party services

The pages of this website, public and private alike, load no resources from third-party domains: no trackers, advertising pixels, social widgets, maps, embedded videos or anti-bot tools. Typefaces are hosted by the website itself (self-hosted): no calls are made to Google Fonts or similar services.

As with any website, there are technical providers operating server-side rather than in your browser: the infrastructure hosting the site and the email service that delivers the requests sent through the forms. They set no cookies in your browser; their role is described in the Privacy policy.

8. Why there is no cookie banner

The law requires consent for cookies and storage technologies that are not strictly necessary. Since the public pages use none, there is nothing to ask consent for: adding a banner would be a formality, not a safeguard.

If tools requiring consent are introduced in the future, this page will be updated and the corresponding mechanism for collecting and managing preferences will be put in place.

9. Managing preferences from your browser

You can delete the data saved by the websites you visit, including cookies and local storage, at any time from your browser settings. On the public pages of this website this has no effect on browsing: the only value that may be present is the theme preference, which will return to its default.

10. Updates and contact

This page is updated whenever the technical behaviour of the website changes. The version published here is the one currently in force.
